Thanksgiving Picnic

Saturday, after the Pinewood Derby, we had our annual Canadian Thanksgiving get together with our Indonesian Staff and their families. It is really a time we as the teaching staff get to show our appreciation to the national staff by hosting some games and serving them dinner.

Last year we noticed that the turkey we had made went relatively untouched by anyone who wasn't from North America. The Indonesian staff was eating the Kentucky Fried Chicken that we had brought in for their children. This year we wised up and made the main dish KFC. The KFC here is very spicy and was a huge hit with all of the locals. We also made the affair much more casual having it in our gym and playing games outside. In fact more than a few came up to us and said that this year was much better. It was great to see all of the kids mixing together and playing. Lots of fun!
