The Brooklyn Bomber

Brooklyn came in 3rd in the annual Pinewood Derby. There were 40 cars this year.

Brooklyn holds her car "The Brooklyn Bomber" and the 3rd place trophy.

This Saturday was the famed Pinewood derby. This thing is a big deal around here. As you can see by the 1st picture they go all out. The track is custom built with times going out to the ten thousandths place. If you look at the picture Brooklyn's time was only 1 thousandth of a second slower than the 2nd place car and that was after four rounds of racing. Kade's car, "Silver Storm," made the round of 16. Sydney's car, "Dairy Queen," was not so fast but did get a lot of kudos for the design. It was a fun day of racing.
