Shopping Trip

We wanted to do something special for the children and we thought one thing we could do would be to take them shopping. I am sure for most of them this was a first.  They typically get hand me downs. What a wild adventure!!!  The plan was to give each girl around $20 and pair them up with a girl from our team.  Each girl had to buy school shoes and then was allowed to purchase something they wanted.  We had planned to take only the girls but all the little boys came too.  Our girls did a great job keeping track of their partners.  The challenge was the little boys. I swear those kids move like lightening. It was all a bit of blur but in the ended beautifully with happy kids.

Instead of shopping which boys hate, we took the older boys from the orphanage to play futsal.  What is futsal you ask?  It is like indoor soccer on a half size field.  As open space here is not accessible there are many futsal building around where you can rent a field for an hour at a time.  We had an awesome time.  It was a good thing we mixed the teams up because the boys were great soccer players.  You can tell they play a lot in the yard and at school.  I will have more pictures to show later as I need to get them off of my phone. Here is a picture of the outside of the building.
