Moving Day

The top five things I have learned about moving to Sumatra:
1. Do not let your cat out the day before a move because they might get stuck in a tree.
2. Do not chew a hard, sticky caramel the day before pack up because you might pop off a crown and have to take your four year old to the dentist with you.
3. Do not expect a restful night of sleep because you will pop up wide awake and remember things like rolling pins at 2:30 am.
4. Do not volunteer your husband to be a camp counselor the week of a move and definitely not to a place where there is no cell reception.
5. Allow others to help you because you can not do it all yourself. I have some amazing friends and family! We would not have been able to get through this week without you. Thank you!

Make sure you let it load all the way to get the full effect. You might need to let it run through first before watching. It is well worth it.

Moving Day - Take 2

Well, like everything I have experienced internationally you sometimes just have to go with the flow which is not always easy for my personality type. The new plan is that our stuff is going to be packed on Thursday and leave on Friday. The moving company has been fantastic. The delay was caused because Brooklyn's visa required more explanation. Thank goodness ISS (International School Services) was all over it.

The next few weeks will be crazy. John is headed to church camp with Sydney. Kade and YoYo are off to Bible school. It should be a fun week. Ember even has a puppy play date with her pals Henry and Annie. The following week were headed to the beach which should be a blast. I am so glad that summer is finally here. The weather has been amazing. I am loving the time off.

Yikes

This pretty much sums up our Saturday.  I would like to say that this was the one and only receipt but it wasn't.  The good news is that we are almost done.  Tomorrow, I hope to finish things up.  We have just few odds and ends left.  Yahoo!

I was amazed how much we got done thanks to some amazing advice from our good friends Dave and Shannon.  Thanks guys!  My Mom and Dad took the kids for the entire day which made the day so much easier.  Thanks Mom and Dad.  The kids had a blast.

Playing with my Mom's Camera

YoYo's pine cones

You would have thought the girl had found gold.  She loves finding pine cones.  She had a grand old time collecting them at the cabin.
